Nia’s Dreaming May Lead To Agent Liberty In A Preview Of Next Week’s Supergirl
by Erik Amaya
After a grim episode of Supergirl, the show appears ready to lighten things up. Or, at least, this preview of next week’s episode suggests a lighter touch as Nia’s (Nicole Maines) narcolepsy leads to prophetic dreams and, possibly, the necessary clue to finding Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer). But will Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Brainy (Jesse Rath) help Nia get control of her powers in time to stop Liberty’s latest scheme?
Considering how his followers botched the plan to make James (Mehcad Brooks) murder Supergirl, his next plan will presumably be more direct. Unless, of course, Manchester Black (David Ajala) corners him in the Lockwood foundry and actually proves effective in stopping the hate monger.
And, as it happens, Manchester Black may turn out to be a more interesting opponent for Supergirl as his “any means necessary” tactics put her in danger. But one imagines he will also survive Lena’s (Katie McGrath) experiment and receive superpowers similar to Kara’s; which means he’ll prove to be a legitimate physical threat as well.
Meanwhile the Children of Liberty could continue to pose its own threat even if Lockwood is taken off the board for a time. And considering how close we’re getting to “Elseworlds,” he will need to be seemingly defeated before the winter break.
Supergirl airs Sundays on The CW.
