Hunt Emerson Art Exhibition Opens In Birmingham In December
by Olly MacNamee
With career spanning all-ages comics like The Beano, as well as more adult affair with his Felix The Cat strips and the odd literary adaption including The Rime of The Ancient Mariner, I wholly expect the new Hunt Emerson art exhibition, opening in Britain’s ‘Second City’, Birmingham next week, to be a very varied and eclectic affair spanning such subjects as ska, psychedelia, comics and one of Hunt’s passions, the Blues.
Hot off the back of his exhibition at this year’s Lakes International Comic Art Festival – where he was a also awarded this year’s Sergio Aragonés International Award for Excellence in Comic Art – Emerson’s career-spanning exhibition opens Tuesday December 4th at the Primitivo Bar and Eaterie on Barwick Street in Birmingham. It runs until February 2019. It’s a great opportunity to view and pick up original art as this is Emerson’s first ever ‘selling’ exhibition offering up original’s art as well as limited edition prints too.
Worth a trip if you’ve visiting Brum in the next few months. For some of us, though, it’s just a short bis ride away. See you there, maybe?
