The Skrulls Take Over 22 Marvel Variant Covers This February

You’ve seen them in the new Captain Marvel trailer, but before you see Carol Danvers kick some Skrull butt, you’ll see the aliens take over some Marvel titles this February. The publisher will be running a series of variant covers featuring key characters taking on the shape-shifting Skrulls.

As with other similar promotions, I love the idea of these images and seeing some awesome artwork, but I’m not a fan of these characters being shoehorned into covers for titles they have nothing to do with. I’m fairly certain we won’t see any Skrulls in Uncanny X-Men #11. Unlike other variant covers, we won’t know for sure because the Skrulls can shape-shift. They could be anyone in those titles!
