Star Trek: Discovery Goes Through The Looking Glass In New Season 2 Trailer

CBS All Access has released a new trailer for the upcoming second season of Star Trek: Discovery and as Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) puts it, the crew of the Discovery are going through the looking glass. Their mission to find Spock (Ethan Peck) leads to the discovery of the Red Angel, a being who harbingers the end of all sentient life in the galaxy. In order to deal with the crisis, Starfleet welcomes former Terran Empress Phillipa Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh) and Tyler/Voq (Shazad Latif) to assist. Both are Section 31 members at this point, so expect plenty of skullduggery.
But you may notice the Klingon situation is not completely settled. It seems whatever attempt Tyler/Voq made at uniting the Empire has lead to the return of traditional Klingon hairstyles. Maybe the Red Angel crisis will do what the Son of None apparently could not.
The season also sees Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) take command of the Discovery, Saru (Doug Jones) in plenty of danger and Lt. Stamets (Anthony Rapp) getting some of his grove back. But did we see Tilly (Mary Wiseman) absorbed by some sort of creature?
Star Trek: Discovery returns January 17th on CBS All Access.
