The Gifted continues to chug along toward some explosive conclusion. And part of getting there is Lauren’s (Natalie Alyn Lind) fascination with her powerful and evil great-grand parents, the Von Strucker twins. After receiving Andrea Von Strucker’s music box, her powers have changed and, it seems, so have her feelings toward mutant/human co-existence. And as seen in this preview for next week’s show, the Frosts (Skyler Samuels) have a plan to harness her newly strengthened powers and resolve.
Meanwhile, it is interesting to see Lorna (Emma Dumont) and Marcos (Sean Teale) restore their relationship. Its clear the producers like that chemistry, what with the two characters resolving their distrust by apparently jumping into bed. And after last week, it is nice to see the two working together again. It was part of the spark the show lost in order to unveil the Inner Circle. But maybe the “stronger together” theme was the whole point for the season.
The Gifted airs Tuesdays on Fox.
