The Arrowverse Gets An Across The Board Renewal At The CW; Riverdale Also Renewed

Surprising no one, The CW announced on Thursday that most of its lineup will return for the 2019-2020 television season (according to Entertainment Weekly). Which means you can expect an eighth season of Arrow, a sixth for The Flash, season fives for Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow and a third season for Black Lightning. Outside of the superhero realm, we will continue to ponder Riverdale for another year while Supernatural inches closer to television history with a 15th confirmed year on the air.
Charmed and Legacies were also renewed while All-American, Roswell, New Mexico and The 100 await word on their continuing status.
Sadly, iZombie will not return as the network decided last year to extend the show’s life for one final season. It debuts in May.
But for Legends fans, it means at least one more season of the team’s wacky hi-jinks and, presumably, a return to the annual crossover; which will be called “Crisis On Infinite Earths.” Can’t imagine what might happen in that story, though.
