Rebellion Brings Euro Best-Seller Operation: Overlord To The USA

After bringing the characters from Sniper Elite to the pages of comics under the famous Battle imprint in 2018, Rebellion is next rolling out the famous British comic imprint to republish a classic European war comic series, Operation: Overlord.
This multi-volume, internationally best-selling graphic novel series by writers Michael Le Galli and Bruna Falba and artist Davide Fabbri, will be translated into English for the first time this May with the first issue of the 4-issue series, republishing the first 4 volumes of the Operation: Overlord graphic album series.
Operation: Overlord tells the tales of the troops taking part in the largest amphibious landing in history across the beaches of Normandy, France on D-Day, June 6th 1944. Each 48-page issue of Operation: Overlord is a stand-alone tale, each set in different locations from the Normandy landings.
Issue 1 of the series follows five young G.I.s, who parachute into France with a mission to capture the city of Sainte-Mère-Église and secure it until reinforcements arrive from the landings.
Subsequent issues will feature stories from both sides of this terrible conflict, with characters including a war photographer, an artist, an American naturalised German, and a group of young German soldiers and finally, issue 4 features the only French forces involved in the Normandy landings, with the troops known as the Kieffer Commandos.
Oliver Pickles is the series editor bringing this Euro-classic to an English speaking audience for the first time. He says:
