NetherRealm Reveals Extra Character Frost

Though the game is already available, publisher Warner Bros. and developer NetherRealm Studios had one last character they wanted to introduce: Frost, the former protege of Sub-Zero. Aiming to take over Sub-Zero’s role as Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, Frost has turned herself into a part of the Cyber Initiative, making herself into a cyborg to enhance her abilities. This allows her to use a number of freeze-focused weapons, as well as use her head itself like a bomb. The trailer shows her facing off against her mentor, and gives us a glimpse at her fatality–a particularly unique one as she doesn’t kill her opponent, but rather destroys their body and transplants it’s mind into a cyborg body.
Frost can be unlocked by completing the campaign mode.
Mortal Kombat XI is out now for the PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
