Viz Media Debuts New Anime & Manga In May

Viz Media is always finding new popular and interesting manga and anime for fans here in the United States. For the month of May, the company plans to release several home media including a Pokémon DVD set and some manga series.

Coming May 21, is Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon – Ultra Adventures Complete Collection. In this series, Ash makes a promise to legendary Pokémon, Solgaleo and Lunala, but forgets what it was. Can the bizarre Pokémon, Nebby, help him remember? Meanwhile, him and Pikachu, along with the other students at his school visit the Aether Foundation, who work to conserve and care for Pokémon. However, the company isn’t what it seems and may have alternative motives. The set contains all 48 episodes on six discs and will retail for $49.99 on Blu-ray and $44.99 on DVD.

One new publishing release is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 4 – Diamond is Unbreakable. It’s the latest saga of Hiroki Araki’s award-winning multigenerational action adventure. Jotaru Kujo visits the Japanese town of Morioh. There he meets Josuke Higashikata, the secret love child of his grandfather. The two form a partnership to investigate the town’s proliferation of unusual Stands. The title will come out May 7 and will retail for $19.99.

Also coming May 7 is Snow White with the Red Hair, from Sorata Akiduki. The story follows Shirayuki, an herbalist known for her naturally bright red hair. The prince of Tanbraun wants her all to himself but another prince from the neighboring kingdom, Zen, saves her and a love begins to blossom between them. The manga will retail for $9.99.
