Mondo To Exhibit 80 Years Of Batman Select Screenprints This May

If I get to be 80 I’ll have a year long party too, just like Batman. Issue #1000 of Detective Comics has already hit the stands (and, by my calculations, #1027 also comes out this year, marking Batman’s 1000 issue, which DC surely cannot ignore, right?) but Mondo are also planning to mark this special anniversary in style too, with their very own exhibition commencing May 17th at Friday, May 17 from 7 – 10PM, with the show running until May 25 at their Friday, May 17 from 7 – 10PM, and the show will run through May 25 during regular gallery hours (12PM – 6PM, Tuesday to Saturday)at their Mondo Gallery on 4115 Guadalupe St., Austin, TX.

Of course, for those of us unable to go we can always keep a lookout on their site for some of the special screen prints of classic past covers once they’re released online. My eye is already looking towards The Dark Knight Returns print which I imagine will look amazing as a screen print. Although, I suppose, now I’ve told you lot, I’ve kinda made a rod for my own back.
