The summer of 2020 will feature the return of Sarah Carter and Baron Zemo to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Deadline reports the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will debut a year from now with actors Emily Van Camp and Daniel Bruhl reprising their Captain America: Civil War characters. The series will star Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as the former Captain America sidekicks. Although, the series may pick up on an thread from Avengers: Endgame and make one of them the new boss. NOS4A2‘s Kari Skogland will direct all six parts of the limited series, the second in Marvel Studio’s ongoing relationship with Disney+. It is unclear what roles the Carter and Zemo characters will ultimately play in the overall narrative, but it is always possible the latter will try to break the hard-earned trust between the rest.
Marvel Studio’s first Disney+ series, WandaVision, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, is expected to begin production soon.
