A new trailer has appeared featuring footage for the sequel to Goblin Slayer, Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown. Easily one of the most popular (and most controversial) series of last Fall, the end of Goblin Slayer mentioned the series making its return sometime in the year 2020. With this that’s been confirmed, as Goblin’s Crown looks to cover the fifth light novel in a theatrical adaptation, confirmed to be brought to the screen by White Fox, the studio responsible for the original series. The light novel sees Goblin Slayer and his party setting out to find a young noblewoman who’s gone missing during a goblin hunt. Their journey takes them out from their usual area and into snowy mountains to some ancient dwarven ruins, where a new group of goblins await, led by a powerful new leader known as the Goblin Paladin.
There’s no further information on the film, but since the entire story plays out over the course of just that one volume of the light novel, it’s likely White Fox will take the story and adapt the entire thing into a complete film.
Though there’s no firm release date yet, Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown will premiere in Japanese theaters in early 2020.
