Anthony Michael Hall Joins Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. As Kitson’s World Boss
by Erik Amaya
The planet of Kitson might be Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s greatest contribution to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Effectively a Vegas in space, it is also a nicely lawless land which may remind Star Wars fans of Nar Shadda or Dark Matter fans of most of the outposts the crew visited. At the same time, it is uniquely S.H.I.E.L.D. with its deadly games of chance and LSD-like foodstuffs. And in continuing to develop that world, viewers will meet its undisputed boss, Mr. Kitson.
TVLine reports Anthony Michael Hall will play the character an upcoming episode. Or, rather, he played the part as S.H.I.E.L.D. filmed its sixth season last year and is already producing its seventh season right now. The site offered few details about the character, other than his “fiendish” rule of the planet he apparently named after himself.
The site also reported Sherri Saum will play a Chronicom named Atarah looking to extract some information from the team. Considering poor Enoch (Joel Stoffer) is now a decommissioned Chronicom, it is entirely possible she is some sort of claims agent or adjuster looking to understand why he went off mission. Hopefully, it will lead to more fun with the character as he proved to be a surprisingly great addition last year and in last Friday’s episode; which we can safely call the best of the series so far.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Fridays on ABC.
