Preview Space Bandits # 1: A Female-Fuelled Sci-Fi Series From An All Male Team

With CBR having run an exclusive interview with Mark Millar this past week, wherein he discussed his new female fuelled sci-fi comic book series Space Bandits, the preview of the first issue, illustrated by Black Science’s Matteo Scalera, is all over the internet, including right here on Comicon.com too.

Although, I find it somewhat ironic that, once again, we have a female-focused series by an all male creative team. Although, Millar and his Millarworld are not the only one’s guilty of this, just the most recent example.

Thena Khole and Cody Blue are among the universe’s most wanted felons. Each the leader of their own criminal ops, they run heists across the galaxies—hopping from ship to ship to fleece everyone inside. But when both women are betrayed by their crews, the bandits only have one thing on their minds: REVENGE.

And, as an extra bonus, check out these variant covers, mostly by male creators too, except for the Sara Pichelli variant (4th down)! They may be female space bandits, but it seems the Earth is still a man’s world, I’m afraid.
