The Next Berger Books Title Is Everything…Literally

by James Ferguson

Dark Horse Comics continues to expand the Berger Books imprint under Karen Berger this September with the release of Everything. Written by Christopher Cantwell and illustrated by I.N.J. Culbard, the monthly ongoing series promises a bizarre story about a horrifying pursuit of happiness.

Everything is a new mega-department store in a sleepy Michican town. Things get a little weird after the place opens up. The thrill of the new store gives way to frenzy, bouts of mania, random hellish fires, violent explosions, and unshakable psychic disturbances. Depressive out-of-towner Lori and a suspicious local named Rick are some of the only people that think Everything could be the cause of this commotion.
Karen Berger says:

I love Everything! It’s like if Twin Peaks and Stranger Things had a baby and Ray Bradbury was the godfather. It’s truly one of the strangest and most surreal series I’ve ever published, while being incredibly moving and relatable.

I get a Needful Things vibe from Everything with a mix of They Live. I’m curious to see how this will play out. Everything #1 is set for release on September 4th, 2019.
