The Surge 2 Introduces Us To Jericho City

Overcome, upgrade, and survive with this new nine minute gameplay walkthrough from the people at Focus Home Interactive and Deck 13 of The Surge 2.  This gameplay takes players through a small part of Jericho City, a location that’s under quarantine by an organization known as the AID, while they try to figure out a technoparasite.  We’re shown two different attempts to get into the city.  The first way is a direct approach, one which ends very quickly thanks to the Surge 2’s high level of difficulty and the low number of hits the character can take.
The second approach involves visiting a doctor close to the entrance of the city, away from the guards, and completing a task for him.  Taking that route allows the player to sneak inside, picking apart both exoframe enemies and drones one by one, making for a much easier time.  Like this, they get to show how the limb targeting exists in this game, as well as the drone the character uses and it’s various abilities, including a powerful weapon and one-time use items which can spot enemies around walls and in the darkness.   We even get a glimpse of the system used to improve the parts of the exoframe the character wears, as each defeated drone or enemy can be stripped of its parts.
The Surge launches in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
