David Rees shares this amazing Brendan McCarthy commission over at the 2000AD Original Art FB page –
“I’ve only arranged a few ‘proper’ commissions (Project Sketchbook probably counts, with 40-odd artists involved, but that’s less formal); this was my first. Also the first private commission that Brendan McCarthy agreed to and he admits he got a bit carried away. Not much back-and-forth with this. I suggested various characters from Strange Days and he just went with all of them; one detailed prelim then the next thing I knew the painted version was done (with added Martin ‘Atchit).”
