The CW Is Already Setting Its Sights On Another Arrow Spinoff
by Erik Amaya
Maybe it’s time for The CW to finally answer The Question.
While speaking at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Sunday, CW President Mark Pedowitz let slip that he is already eyeing another Arrow spinoff. “Nothing is ever 100 percent done,” he said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “You learn that over time. There’s a possibility, but we haven’t had a discussion about what that storyline will do as [we plot the] next generation [of DC shows]. There is another property we’re looking at for the following season.”
That other property could be just about anything in the DC library — from a continuation of the Star City 2041 storyline to something like The Question.
We bring up Steve Ditko’s famous Objectivitist hero (who later walked away from that philosophy thanks to Denny O’Neil, Dennys Cowan and Rorschach) because it is a character Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim said he wanted to use on the series since the first season and never got around to featuring.
The O’Neil/Cowan version of the character, and his crime-infested home of Hub City, would make for the perfect Arrow replacement. It was also be an opportunity to feature a Richard Dragon unmarred by Ricardo Diaz.
Of course, we’re just wildly speculating as Pedowitz offered few clues about the next spinoff. Feel free to develop your own speculation.
