Kirk Scroggs Goes Full Monster In Next Middle-Grade DC Graphic Novel

With the release of The Secret Spiral of Swamp Kid from DC Comics, writer / artist Kirk Scroggs has set his sights on his next middle-grade graphic novel with We Found a Monster as revealed by the LA Times. Told in a similar style as Swamp Kid, We Found a Monster explores some of the most obscure monsters from the DC Universe.
The book follows Kacie, a nerdy kid who’s an outcast and proud of it, as she attends summer school with her classmate Zandra. They just happen to discover a monster washed up under the pier who needs their help. As they take care of this creature, Kacie figures out that this isn’t the first monster Zandra has encountered.
I love the idea of this and if it’s anything like Swamp Kid, me and my kids are going to dig into this quickly. We Found a Monster is set for release in the Fall of 2021 so we have a wait ahead of us.
