NYCC 2019: Blasting Off With Amazon’s The Expanse

The Expanse is heading to Amazon Prime with its fourth season this December. Fans had a chance to check out the Rocinante spaceship at New York Comic Con with a huge replica surrounded by screen used props and costumes. Inside was a replica of the ship, complete with a pilot’s chair used in the show.
I got a chance to walk through it and it was a pretty surreal experience. I’m not that familiar with The Expanse, but this interactive booth definitely piqued my interest. One highlight was a photobooth that put you on the ship, emerging from a portal. I definitely had to try that out. The cameraman said I was a natural and I’m going to pretend he doesn’t just say that to everybody.
Judging from the line wrapped around the booth and the eager fans walking through the exhibit, this was a definite hit. Experiences like this stand out at conventions because there’s not really an opportunity to do anything like this anywhere else.
The fourth season of The Expanse begins on December 13th, 2019 exclusively on Amazon Prime.
