EA and Respawn have put out the launch trailer for their upcoming Star Wars action-adventure/metroidvania title, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. More on the game from them below:
During this dark time, in the far reaches of the galaxy, a young man named Cal Kestis conceals himself in the industrial yards of Bracca. Though he tries to forget his past, he cannot escape that he was a Padawan of the fallen Jedi Order. The eyes of the Empire are everywhere, and their fist is slowly tightening around the galaxy. With the Inquisitors – Imperial Jedi hunters – always on the search for hidden Jedi, nowhere is safe for him after he is seen using his Force powers. Now, it is time for him to rise and embrace his destiny. Soon, it will be time for him to become a Jedi.
Promising combat that perfectly emulates the feel of what lightsaber combat must be like, as well as the ability to visit multiple worlds within the Star Wars universe both new and old, as well as a Metroidvania-like exploration where unlocking new skills will make previously hidden or unreachable parts of planets accessible, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order certainly sounds like it’s aiming to be the perfect Star Wars title for single-player fans.
Whether that’s true or not, we’ll find out when the game releases November 15th for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
