Valérie Minelli’s Webcomic Mrs. Frollein Comes To Print

by James Ferguson

Oni Press is bringing the international slice-of-life webcomic Mrs Frollein from creator Valérie Minelli to print for the first time in February 2020. The first collection, Small Hours, includes many of the most recent comic strips along with thirty all-new never-before-released comics. It also features a foreword from fellow web comic creators Jonathan Kunz and Elizabeth Pich.

Creator Valérie Minelli says:

I’m so excited to see this book that I worked so hard on in print for the first time. I put all my heart in it and hope everybody who reads it  will get the same warm, fuzzy feeling that I had while drawing it.

Mrs. Frollein is a heartfelt and earnest comic strip, making fun of the mundane. The comics find inspiration in the everyday from rainy coffee mornings and playful relationship adventures to quiet introspective moments. These are the small, unexpected minutes that quilt life together.

Editor Jasmine Amiri added:

The first time I read a Mrs. Frollein comic, it felt like Christmas lights turning on in my brain. It’s been a blast working with Valérie Minelli and seeing all the thoughtful touches and additions she’s brought to this first collection. I’m truly excited to present Val’s adorable, warmhearted comics to an even wider audience with Small Hours.

Mrs. Frollein began on Instagram in 2016. It has been updated regularly for three years and now has over 417,000 followers. Look for The Mrs. Frollein Collection: Small Hours at your local comic shop, bookstore, or Amazon on February 18th, 2020.
