The new Star Wars comic comes out at the start of the new year, taking place in the spoaec between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Which means no Han Solo, but plenty of Lando Calrissan. It’s by writer Charles Soule – who’s run on Darth Vader I whole enjoyed and so know this franchise is in safe hands – and artist Jesus Saiz, who’s an amazing addition too. As this preview of Star Wars #1 shows. Luck has lost his hand and is lost in his own thoughts, which isn’t too surprising given the shattering revelation that… spoiler alert!.. Darth Vader is his father. Gulp!

In the wake of the events following The Empire Strikes Back, it is a dark time for the heroes of the Rebellion. The Rebel fleet…scattered following a disastrous defeat at the Battle of Hoth.
