Street Fighter V: Champion Edition Adds A New Version Of Seth

At the end of Capcom Cup 2019, the company revealed the latest (and possibly final?) character to join the Street Fighter V roster. Seth, the main villain to Street Fighter IV, has made a return … though they look a little different than usual. The so-called King of Chaos has return boasting a female form, though they still retain their voice from the previous game as well as their playstyle, which involved taking the moves of other characters.
Seth’s character will become a part of the game when the Champion Edition officially drops this February 14th. This brings the character roster up to a full 40 characters. But does this spell the end of updates for the title? Capcom wanted to pause new updates for the game until after the Olympics, but what does that mean when the Olympics are over? Rumors abound over Rose and Oro being added to the game, and although there’s a new console generation coming soon, there’s precedent for Capcom releasing new characters and stages well into the life cycle of the next-generation systems. Ultra Street Fighter IV famously added five characters and six stages — and came out in June of 2014, first exclusively for the old-gen then the following year for Xbox and PlayStation.
With that in mind, and no news of a new Street Fighter on the horizon, perhaps there’s still more to come?
