47 Ronin And Atomic Legion Coming To Paperback For The First Time

by James Ferguson

Dark Horse Comics has announced new paperback collections of two classic tales from founder Mike Richardson. The Atomic Legion and 47 Ronin will be available in paperback for the first time in the summer of 2020.

The Atomic Legion, illustrated by Bruce Zick, follows the heroes of yesterday, who were once hailed as saviors but have now been rejected and forgotten by the public. They’ve been hiding out in a secret fortress near the North Pole for decades. When the Professor (the mysterious scientists who built the fortress) is kidnapped by an evil rival, a young boy rallies the monsters, robots, and caped warriors once again.
47 Ronin is a very different tale, set in feudal Japan and illustrated by Stan Sakai. It centers on some samurai and their epic mission to avenge their wronged master. It’s a faithful adaptation of the classic tale of honor and violence. This edition also includes behind-the-scenes historical extras.

The Atomic Legion TPB will be available in comic shops on July 22nd, 2020 and in bookstores and Amazon on August 4th, 2020. 47 Ronin TPB will be available in comic shops on August 12th, 2020 and in bookstores and Amazon on August 25th, 2020. Both will retail for $19.99.
