Check Out The Preview For “I Hate Getting Hurt, So I Made A Full Defense Build”
by Sage Ashford
Upcoming light novel anime adaptation I Hate Getting Hurt, So I Made a Full Defense Build has just released a new trailer featuring footage from the series. The show is set in a world where Virtual Reality MMOs have become popular, and at the behest of a friend, a young woman named Kaede Honjou is pushed into trying the game New World Online. Because Kaede dislikes the idea of pain, she gives all her stat points to Vitality, making her nearly impossible to harm and unlocking skills no one knew existed. From there, she becomes Maple, the tank of a team of adventurers.
The series will be directed by Shin Ohnuma (Baka & Test) and Mirai Minato (Fate/kaleid Liner). Series composition is being done by Fumihiko Shimo (Clannad, Fate/Stay Night 2004), and character designs are being done by Kazuya Hirata (Caretaker of Sunohara-sou). Studio SILVER LINK (Kokoro Connect, Death March) will be handling the animation.
The series will premiere this season, on January 8th. The “characters playing a video game” genre remains as crowded as ever.
