Morbius Trailer Unveils The Living Vampire

In searching for a cure to his rare blood disease, Dr. Micheal Morbius (Jared Leto) becomes the living vampire in this, the first trailer for Sony’s Morbius. Based on the Marvel Comics character created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gil Kane, Dr. Morbius learns his illegal cure may be worse than the disease. It gives hims enhances strength and senses, but it also makes him thirst for blood. While Morbius was designed as a tragic and sympathetic antagonist for Spider-Man in the comics, will the film see him descend into true villainy?

Oh, and hey, what’s Micheal Keaton doing at the end there? Is Sony finally getting its Sinister Six film? Presumably, the Spider-Verse is taking on board some MCU characters to establish its own reality when Marvel Studios and Sony’s partnership ends in a couple of years. And what better way to do that than build to its own team-up film with the foes of Spider-Man?
