Necessary Evil Concludes In MMPR #50 With Return Of Fan-Favorite Character
by James Ferguson
Necessary Evil has been rocking the world of the Power Rangers for the past few months. BOOM! Studios, under license by Hasbro, has announced the conclusion of this mega event in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #50, coming in April 2020 from writer Ryan Parrott, artist Daniele di Nicuolo, colorist Walter Baiamonte, and letterer Ed Dukeshire. The publisher is also teasing the return of a fan-favorite character but is keeping quiet as to who that might be.

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the Omega Rangers – along with surprise new allies – team up to face The Anointed in this epic conclusion to the Power Rangers event: Necessary Evil! Everything has been leading to the shocking return of a fan favorite character so big that we needed a last page gatefold to contain it! But what does it mean now that [SPOILER] is back?
If I had to guess, the redacted character name is the Ranger Slayer. That would be a big deal for the comics and could shake things up. We last saw the alternate version of Kimberly Hart out in space in Beyond the Grid. We’ll have to wait until April to find out.
