Poppy Returns With Sophomore Comics Effort ‘Damnation: Poppy’s Inferno’

The pop culture artist Poppy is back with another graphic novel from Z2 Comics. The previously released Genesis 1 will now be followed by Damnation: Poppy’s Inferno, due out in July 2020. Written by Ryan Cady and illustrated by Amilcar Pinna and Zoe Thorogood, the comic builds on the themes introduced in the first book, looking at influence through a dissection of the relationship of fans and enthusiasts to the art they love. It places Poppy in a story where people seek to control and change her for their own purposes, leading to the depths of Hell itself.
