The Terrifics – DC Comics’ tongue-in-cheek take on Marvel’s own Fantastic Four – hits its 25th issue this coming Wednesday 12th February, which is something worth celebrating. After all, out of all the New Age of DC Heroes titles spring boarding off the back of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Dark Nights: Metal, The Terrifics is the only title stills standing. But then, it’s been a great read from the get go and in recent months, under the guidance of writer Gene Luen Yang, The Terrifics have certainly forged their own identity and are now far more than just a FF knock-off, but a team, and a family of friends, in their own right. It’s great to see this title still going with the added bonus of having the excellent Dan Mora on art duties this issue too.
And ,it’s an issue that certainly shows off why this title has such staying power with an issue that puts the reader in charge with a multi-path adventure. A title well worth checking out, if you aren’t reading it already.
Choose your fate, choose your action, choose your destiny! In this special extra-sized 25th issue, Michael Holt has dis-covered a deadly hidden enemy, and only a series of life-or-death simulations can bring the threat to the forefront! But when Mr. Terrific lies to his team, how can they trust him again? Don’t miss this epic multi-path journey that puts you, the reader, in charge of the story! Pick your ending, but choose wisely! The Terrifics team hangs in the balance!
