Looks like we’re getting yet another military addition to the Marvel universes in 2020 Force Works #1 by writer Matthew Rosenberg and artist Juanan Ramirez. This time, it’s War Machine’s response to the rise of the robots currently running amok in the 616. Check out our preview of the debut issue out this Wednesday 26th February. Gung-ho, jingoistic action coming your way from Marvel. I do wonder, sometimes, what message the comic book industry is sending to readers when yet another book seems to emphasise military might as the right course of action?

The eruption of a violent robot revolution threatens all manner of biological life! Teetering on the precipice of extinction, there’s only one man with enough tactical skill, killer instinct and ruthless leadership to lead the rebellion: War Machine! Join War Machine and his elite paramilitary squad (U.S.Agent, Mockingbird and Quake) in the final crusade for humanity’s fate!
