Check Out The ‘Baldur’s Gate III’ Gameplay Reveal Trailer

After initially mentioning this game was coming to Google Stadia, the good people at Larian have given us a lengthy look at the gameplay of Baldur’s Gate III. Much was in question when the game was announced — would it be converted into an action RPG? Something more traditionally over-the-shoulder? Or would it retain it’s isometric, real-time-with-pause roots?
Well, it turns out, the game is a mix of modern and classic, featuring turn-based, isometric combat with the ability to zoom in and give a closer look at some of the characters. The dialogue is also presented in a more cinematic fashion, as Larian tries to fuse everything and create an incarnation of Baldur’s Gate that feels true to the first games while also appealing to new fans. The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around you — verticality is a vital part of exploration. • Online multiplayer for up to four players allows you to combine your forces in combat, and split your party to follow your own quests and agendas. Concoct the perfect plan together… or introduce an element of chaos when your friends least expect it.

• Origin Characters offer a hand-crafted experience, each with their own unique traits, agenda, and outlook on the world. Their stories intersect with the entire narrative, and your choices will determine whether those stories end in redemption, salvation, domination, or many other outcomes.
