AHOY Comics Delay ‘Billionaire Island’ #2 And ‘Ash & Thorn’ #1 Due To Coronavirus Crisis

by Olly MacNamee

AHOY Comics are the most recent publisher to rearrange their schedule. As a smaller company, they haven’t got as much shifting to do and as of now it’s only Billionaire Island #2 by Mark Russell and Steve Pugh and Ash & Thorn #1 by Mariah McCourt and Soo Lee.
Billionaire Island #1 moves from 4/8 to 4/15 (that’s juts a week) while Ash & Thorn #1 is moved from 4/1 to 4/29, a little bit of a longer wait, but worth it, I imagine.
Here’s more from Tom Peyer, AHOY Comics’ Editor-in-Chief for more:

This is the first time in AHOY’s history that a title has been delayed, and obviously we’re disappointed that our readers will have to wait a little longer to see old ladies kicking apocalyptic ass and billionaires getting their much-deserved comeuppance— but these are unusual times. We’re facing some rocky seas as a community right now, but  we’ll get through this storm together!

Stuart Moore had more to add. to reassure retailers out there:

To be clear, AHOY is not suspending operations. We’re delaying the launch of ASH & THORN in order to give this unique new title a chance to find its audience, and we’re moving BILLIONAIRE ISLAND #2 in order to space out our new releases better. We recognize that some retailers want new product, while others are asking for a slowdown of shipments. That’s the needle we’ll be threading in the weeks to come.

What’s more, as of now all AHOY Comics’ trades on comiXology (expect Second Coming Vol. 1) are available from $9.99.
