Emmanuelle Chriqui Joins ‘Superman & Lois’ As Lana Lang

The CW’s Superman & Lois is doing its best to highlight the entire Superman family.
Deadline reports Emmanuelle Chriqui has joined the cast as Lana Lang-Cushing, Clark’s (Tyler Hoechlin) high school girlfriend and, according to the character description, “the loan officer at Smallville Bank who stayed in Smallville when others left for something bigger and brighter.” When we meet her in the series, she reconnects with Clark “during one of the most difficult periods in her life.”
Set on the Arrowverse’s Earth-Prime, the series will see Clark and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) returning to life in Metropolis as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. The series will also feature Dylan Walsh as Lois’s father, General Samuel Lane.
It is unclear when the series will debut — the speed of developments suggest it will be a Fall show — but with a 13-episode order and all the uncertainties because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is possible this will be postponed to Spring 2021.
