‘Mandalorian’ Behind-The-Scenes Documentary To Debut On May 4th
by Erik Amaya
This year’s May the 4th celebrations may be subdued, but Disney+ has a plan.
Variety reports the streaming service will debut an 8-part documentary series on the making of The Mandalorian called, appropriately enough, Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. Each episode will focus on a different aspect of the production from the writing, filming, and some of the special effects technology deployed to bring Din Djarin’s (Pedro Pascal) journey into a larger world to life. Creator Jon Favreau will also host roundtable discussions about the making of the series — we hope one episode will feature a discussion with Werner Herzog as his view of being a part of Star Wars is unique and highly entertaining. And you can pretty much bet an entire episode will be devoted to The Child.
The program’s debut will coincide with the series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars; so there will be at least plenty of new content for homebound Star Wars fans.
