AWA Studios Announce 25k+ Sales on Straczynski And Deodato’s ‘The Resistance’ #1

As only 1 of 7 comics published in March that weren’t by the industry’s leaders DC Comics, Marvel and Image Comics, J. Michael Straczynski & Mike Deodato Jr.’s The Resistance #1 charted within the top 100, at #65 with 26,095 sales.
As a new upstart publisher coming out mere days before the coronavirus greatly disrupted comic book distribution, that’s pretty good going. Although, with Straczynski and Deodato Jr on this book, plus its subject matter – a rampant virus gripping the world – I can see why it did comparatively so well.
As one of the first comic book news sites to tale a look at AWA Studios, let us be the first to congratulate you all too.
Looks like comics are doing better than some would have us believe. Nice one.
