Katy Ponders What Could’ve Been In A Preview Of Next Week’s ‘Katy Keene’ Season Finale

by Rachel Bellwoar

Hypothetical episodes have been all the rage on TV this season. Done right and you get something like Supergirl’s “It’s a Super Life,” in which Kara tries to figure out when she should’ve told Lena she was Supergirl. Done wrong and you get something like This Is Us’ “After the Fire,” which imagined a world where Jack didn’t die.

Supergirl and This Is Us have multiple seasons under their belt. One season is a little early for a show like Katy Keene to be feeling reflective, but it looks like that’s the direction the season finale is taking in the promo for next week’s episode.
Luckily, Pepper (Julia Chan) appears to be getting out of jail already (maybe she found a way to purchase the purse before her arrest). Too much was stacked against her this week for her to avoid being tripped up by one of her lies, but the show isn’t staying mad at her long and it’s one time when Katy Keene’s quick turnaround works. Less successful: the show’s treatment of Alex’s (Lucien Laviscount) alcoholism, which came up again this week after being largely ignored.
While it gets lost amidst the other revelations, Jorge’s parents (Frank Pando and Daphne Rubin-Vega) are losing their building. Could Jorge (Jonny Beauchamp), Katy (Lucy Hale), and Josie (Ashleigh Murray) be split up if the show returns for a second season?
Katy Keene airs Thursdays on The CW.
