Vault Comics And Heavy Meat Team-Up For A ‘Greatest Hits’ Collection

Vault Comics and Heavy Metal Entertainment have become partners in a new venture with the release of a selection of Vault’s “Greatest Hits” titles to feature exclusive new cover design. These comic books will come with new dress treatments and cover art, and a new digest format that will feature an entire line of select Vault titles in a serialized compendium style book format, and an assortment of merchandise created in partnership with Threadless.
While the covers do look great, I can’t really see what Heavy Metal gets out of this deal, what with them having only just launched there own line of comic books, nor why Vault Comics would partner up with them to effectively offer up new printings of their comics, something they already do. Although the common link here is Tim Seeley, who not only writes Vault’s hit, Money Shot, but is also Managing Editor on Heavy Metal. Still, here’s your look at the covers announced. Or, will we see titles announced by Heavy Metal migrate over to Vault Comics as part of teh comic industry’s ‘new normal’? Either way, it’s certainly an interesting development that we will be keeping. very close eye on.
