‘Attack on Titan’, ‘Listeners’ And More Join FunimationCon 2020 Programming

Because of the current pandemic, many shows have gone online to virtually hold their event. Funimation is a media company that is holding its convention next month called, FunimationCon 2020. It is a two-day stream complete with cosplay meetups, industry panels, Q&A sessions and more. Plus, all this entertainment will be free as long as you register.
Recently, additional programming was revealed for the anime heavy affair. Take a look at the details below:
NEW PANELS
The newly announced panels join a growing list of exciting panel discussions at FunimationCon that include Fruits Basket, Fire Force and One Piece, with more to come.

  • Attack on Titan – Get ready for Attack on Titan The Final Season with Funimation! We sit down with the voices behind some of your favorite characters and relive the biggest moments from the first three seasons. This panel features voice actors Bryce Papenbrook (Eren), Trina Nishimura (Mikasa), Josh Grelle (Armin), J Michael Tatum (Erwin), Bryn Apprill (Christa), and Mike McFarland (ADR Director) and is moderated by Funimation’s Josellie Rios. You will NOT want to miss this!

  • Listeners – Explore the world of Listeners with the English voice actors and the ADR director as they discuss the series and rock music! Also, exclusive Q&A with Dai Sato, the co-creator and head writer, answering questions from Funimation fans of Listeners. Justin Briner (Echo Rec), Bryn Apprill (Mu), Lee George (Jimi Stonefree), and Cris George (ADR Director). The panel is hosted by Jacki Jing.


  • Toilet-bound Hanako-kun – Pursue the paranormal! Justin Briner (Hanako) and Ian Sinclair (Tsuchigomori) guide us through a behind the scenes look at recording from home, special messages from the cast, and an exclusive Q&A with the legendary Megumi Ogata (Hanako and Tsukasa). Additional guests include Tia Ballard (Nene), Emily Neves (Aoi), Aaron Dismuke (Natsuhiko), Tyson Rinehart (Kou), and Jād Saxton (ADR Director). Let’s get spooky!


STREAM ANIPLEX ONLINE FEST LIVE ON JULY 4
Funimation has teamed up with Aniplex of America to make the July 4 Aniplex Online Fest livestream available for fans attending FunimationCon. All day long, the Aniplex Online Fest programming will be available for FunimationCon fans to access and enjoy as a programming track for the virtual festival. Aniplex Online Fest will feature a diverse array of online content, including talk shows with the staff and cast from popular anime, special appearances and past live shows from music artists, and behind-the-scenes stories from the anime industry. LIVE MY HERO ONE’S JUSTICE 2 ESPORTS CHALLENGE – Powered by Esports Stadium Arlington. Connect with your favorite cast members of My Hero Academia, Justin Briner (Deku), Clifford Chapin (Bakugo), Christopher Sabat (All Might), Patrick Seitz (Endeavor), Ricco Fajardo (Mirio) and more as they recreate iconic fight scenes in the new Bandai Namco video game My Hero’s One Justice 2. Professional Wrestler Kenny Omega hosts this once in a lifetime chance to see your favorite characters pitted against one another during this exciting head to head combat in the ultimate test for righteousness.
This new programming joins the already revealed voice actor panels for popular anime Fruits Basket, One Piece, and Fire Force and the previously announced special programs from Sony Music Labels Artists BLUE ENCOUNT, FLOW, KANA-BOON, Luna Haruna, and a DJ performance by DJ MarGenal, as well as a special airing of the 2019 SACRA MUSIC Festival.
FunimationCon 2020 will be held July 3rd and 4th.
