Empyre is finally here with this Director’s Cut edition of the first issue out this Wednesday 15th July as Marvel finally come out of hibernation and get more of their titles into shops and onto shelves. But, with this being an under ordered book no-one seems interested in, will it have any steam left in the engine to succeed? With both Al Ewing and Dan Slott on this book, I really can’t see why this one has been met with such apathy. But, with fan hungry for comics, will this be the sleeper hit of the summer? With art by Valerio Schiti, colors by Marte Gracia and letters by Joe Caramagna.
We’ll be bringing you reviews of each and every issue, but check out this preview for Empyre #1: Director’s Cut, picking up where Avengers: Empyre #0 left off.
“Featuring action-packed extras including a Cover Gallery, Script, Inked And Color Pages and more! The Kree and the Skrulls have united under a new emperor – and their war fleet is on a collision course for our world. On the moon, the Avengers are ready to strike with the full power of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Approaching from outer space, the Fantastic Four are seeking a diplomatic solution. If the two teams can’t work together to save the day, things can only get worse…”
