DC Black Label Announce ‘Batman: White Knight Presents Harley Quinn’ This October
by Olly MacNamee
DC Comics have announced the return of Sean Murphy’s fan-favourite Batman: White Knight universe this October with a new book focusing squarely on Harley Quinn as she copes with new motherhood and her own sanity in Batman: White Knight Presents Harley Quinn 6 issue mini-series.
With Murphy busy setting up his own creator owned crowdfunded comic book, Plot Holes, he’s co-authoring this series with his wife and best selling author Katana Collins with Matteo Scalera and Dave Stewart providing the art and Matt Hollingsworth returning for colors. As you’ll see from this early look, it’s a style not too dissimilar to Murphy’s own which is a good thing as Murphy’s artwork was a big part of why people took to this alternative take on Batman. But, with this universe firmly established, it’s time to bring in others to help out and expand on this popular franchise.
“Batman: White Knight Presents Harley Quinn takes place two years after Curse of the White Knight. Azrael has wiped out criminals in Gotham, Jack Napier (formerly The Joker) is dead, Bruce Wayne (Batman) is in prison, and Harley Quinn is adjusting to life as a single mother, raising the twins she had with Jack. But as new villains arise, Harley is forced to dance with madness once again and confront her own past with The Joker and Batman while helping the Gotham City police and an eager young FBI agent uncover the truth behind a series of gruesome murders.”
Batman: White Knight Presents Harley Quinn #1 comes out on October 20 from DC Black Label.
