Aliens, Robots, & Genetic Mutations Await In ‘Concrete Jungle’

by James Ferguson

Scout Comics continues its hot streak with another new titles. The indie publisher has announced Concrete Jungle, a new series from writer Sheldon Allen, artist Karl Mostert, colorist Warnia Sahadewa, and letterer Matt Bowers. It’s set in the year 1986 in Atom City-Miami. The city is crawling with extra-terrestrials, robots, and genetic mutations and crime is a plague. There are no good guys or bad guys. There are only survivors.

Writer Sheldon Allen says:

Concrete Jungle is a love letter to my hometown of Miami and the city’s unique 1980’s setting. Given that special meaning, it was a no brainer to once again partner with Scout Comics in delivering my baby to the masses.

Concrete Jungle centers on crooked Detective Annie Brunson as she’s charged with cracking the case of a rogue telepath hijacking unsuspecting minds and bodies to commit vicious crimes. Saddled with a new, straight-laced telepathic partner named Faith Jones, Annie sifts through urban decay, exotic aliens, and more to find answers.
Concrete Jungle #1 is set for release in October 2020.
