‘Getting It Together’ #1 Gets A ‘Sex And The City’ Variant Cover

by Olly MacNamee

How cold we not bring you the news that one of our past columnists’ comics – Omar Spahi’s  Getting It Together #1 – is getting variant cover homaging the opening credits to Sex and the City? And, given that the previously announce regular cover is a Friends homage, this is very much in likening with this theme.
Here’s more on the thought process behind this new cover reveal:
“This nod to the famous scene wherein Carrie gets splashed on an NYC street corner by a passing bus, perfectly connects the “found family” theme the beloved HBO franchise was known for with the Getting It Together vibe. This new series follows a group of 20-something friends and the interpersonal drama they encounter living in the City (in this case, the Bay Area).”
Produced by Kevin Wada, this cover and the debut issue it’s adorning will be out on Wednesday October 7th from Image Comics.
