A pop culture phenomenon for over a century, The Phantom of the Opera has thrilled generations. There have been several classic film adaptations and Andrew Lloyd Weber’s iconic stage musical grossed $6 billion in receipts over its 30 year run. 

Publisher A Brave New World brings a new trade paperback version of Gaston Leroux’s gothic masterpiece that they claim is the most lavish and authentic comics adaptation to date. Rather than set off in a new direction or take too much inspiration from the stage musical version, writer Varga Tomi opted for a straight take, adapting Leroux’s original text to graphic novel format.
