IDW To Publish ‘The Marvel Art Of The Brothers Hildebrandt’ Hardcover Art Book

IDW will be publishing a deluxe, oversized art book featuring hundreds of paintings and sketches of Marvel characters by legendary illustrators Greg and Tim Hildebrandt. The Marvel Art of the Brothers Hildebrandt will be a full colour hardcover and out February 23rd, 2021.
Included in this book is art they created for the Marvel Masterpieces trading card set in 1994. In fact the entire set is reproduced in this book, alongside model photos and preliminary drawings of the paintings.
Something of a fond memory still for Greg Hildebrandt:
“In 1993, I walked into Marvel, met Tom DeFalco, told him that I wanted to do something in comics, and he said, ‘How about 158 trading cards?’ I thought that this would be the opportunity of a lifetime, and it proved without a doubt to be one of the top highlights of our careers. I had a blast painting so many heroes and villains in Marvel’s library of characters. Painting these still brings out the kid in me. This book is the most comprehensive collection of our Marvel art, and I’m so happy to be able to have it available all in one beautifully produced book for fans to enjoy.”
You will also find the X-Men 2099 painted graphic novel, written by John Francis Moore and illustrated by the Brothers Hildebrandt, and more. artwork spanning three decades from the ‘90s through to the present. All over 284-pages.
