‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ Offers Chapter Titles Ahead Of Premiere

by Erik Amaya

While Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be a mammoth four-hour affair when it debuts later this month, it will be segmented for easy viewing.

The film’s Twitter account posted several chapter names for the six parts of the film, which includes the titles “Don’t Count On It Batman,” “The Age Of Heroes,” “Beloved Mother, Beloved Son,” “Change Machine,” “All The King’s Horses,” and “Something Darker.” At one point, the film was said to be released as four one-hour segments before director Zack Snyder and HBO Max decided to release the thing as one long film. The chapter titles may call back to that or reflect a rhythm Snyder wants to impart. Either way, it offers SnyderCut fans a new mystery to ponder for the next two weeks.

If you want to go deeper, take a look back at the theatrical version of the film and try to align these chapter titles with the progression of the other Justice League. While that film is reportedly a substantialy different animal, a title like “All The King’s Horses” assigned to the fifth chapter already suggests the resurrection of Superman (Henry Cavill) still takes place at the two-thirds mark of the film. Meanwhile, Chapter 6’s “Something Darker” echoes Snyder’s statements about a special cameo character and a sequel he envisioned to occur in the Knightmare scenario.

And that’s really how easy one can start to think about the SnyderCut, which reflects a unique power it holds even after all this time.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League debuts March 18th on HBO Max.
