And finally…

Skottie Young, whose oh-so-cute style, featured on so many variant covers over the years, have always managed to make the day a little brighter.

He got his start at Marvel with interiors on the likes of Spider-Man: Legend of the Spider Clan, but some of my favourite work of his comes in the Oz adaptations written by Eric Shanower that began in 2005. In the intervening years his art has featured on an awful lot of Marvel covers, but he’s also found time to write and draw interiors, including for his own creation, I Hate Fairyland at Image Comics. This was followed by writing Middlewest with artist Jorge Corona and Bully Wars with artist Aaron Conley.

He’s got a wonderfully silly and recognisable style, and one to enjoy looking at right now, beginning with some of those early Oz pages…
