Exclusive First Look: An Unexpected Revolt In ‘Dune: House Atreides’ #6

by James Ferguson

This April sees the release of Dune: House Atreides #6 and we’ve got an exclusive preview to share with you from BOOM! Studios. Adapted and scripted by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, who wrote the prequel novel based on Frank Herbert’s notes, the comic is illustrated by Dev Pramanik with ink assistance by Raffaele Semeraro, colored by Alex Guimarães, and lettered by Ed Dukeshire. It’s made in partnership with Herbert Properties LLC and in full coordination with Abrams ComicArts, who is publishing the graphic novel adaptations of Herbert’s original novel Dune.

An unexpected revolt throws the balance of Ix into jeopardy and now Leto must make an important decision as the underground city is on the cusp of falling into evil hands. And while The Bene Gesserit’s oracles predicted they would need a child from the Baron Harkonnen in order to continue tracing a genetic line to their foretold messiah… their plan has not gone as well as hoped. On the doorstep of Castle Caladan comes the boy who will change everything – Duncan Idaho has arrived.

Dune: House Atreides #6 features a main cover art by Evan Cagle and a variant cover by Jenny Frison. It’s set for release at your local comic shop and digitally through ComiXology and Amazon Kindle on April 28th, 2021.
