Review Round Up: Another Week, Another Set Of Reviews

by Olly MacNamee

It’s that time of the week again where we bring you all the reviews posted over the past week from out team of captives… er, I mean, reviewers. So, what did our writers look at this week?

‘Model Prisoner of the Week’ must surely go to Scott Redmond who burnt through the comic books we threw into his cell with reviews for Black Mask’s Everfrost #1, BOOM! Studios’ The Many Deaths Of Laila Starr #1, Marvel’s Black Knight: Curse of the Ebony Blade #1, Champions #6, IDW’s TMNT: Jennika II #6, Teenage Mutant Turtles #116, DC Comics’ Batman related titles Nightwing #79, The Next Batman: Second Son #7 and Catwoman #30.

Tony Thornley posted reviews for Marvel’s new X-Men title, Way of X #1, Valiant Comics’ Shadowman #1, and DC Comics’ Superman #30.

It’s amazing what just one hour of sunlight a week can do to a fellow’s output. With his batteries recharged and back in his prison cell for another week, Brendan M Allen took a look at Marvel’s Alien #2, AfterShock’s Phantom of the Scan #1 and Scout’s Honor #4.

An absolute stunner of a book, Titan Comics’ Wika, was reviewed by Tito W James while James Ferguson gave us his thoughts on Image Comics Birthright #48 and Double Down Comics’ The Hardway #2.

Another good selection of comic books from the big two as well as other publishers too. And so endeth another week on review. Have a good one, I’ve got to get back to checking in on the inmates. Word is they’re on the edge of revolting. And looking at them behind their bars, I’d have to agree.
