Rodney Barnes To Take Bond On His Next Assignment In ‘James Bond: Himeros’
by Erik Amaya
This October, Killadelphia‘s Rodney Barnes will be orchestrating James Bond’s new mission in James Bond: Himeros.
The series, announced by Dynamite Entertainment on Tuesday, will see Barnes working with artist Antonio Fuso. The story, meanwhile, sees Bond entering the dangerous world of sex trafficking, where the legendary superspy may be able to bring justice to those most vulnerable. When British billionaire Richard Wilhelm is charged with trafficking minors to his secluded private island in the South Pacific, his political, personal, and criminal connections to others in high society across the world are in danger of being exposed. With assassins looking to end the threat Wilhelm now represents, 007 is assigned to protect the billionaire’s right-hand woman, Sarah Richmond, who also knows many of his secrets. But can Bond trust her?
“There’s an elegance to James Bond that’s timeless,” Barnes said in a statement. “He has a unique skill set and approaches the tasks at hand with wit and humor, yet underneath there’s a strong ethical sense that drives him.”
James Bond: Himeros #1 is set for an October release.
